Ok, well today is the first day of REAL progress, I got the start of the control system up and running, I have one Temp/Humidity sensor connected to the 1-wire network using the USB adaptor and am currently using LogTemp to record the temperature in one of the rooms in the house and played to see if it worked and so far it has been good and easy to get going.

This is one of the packages I looked at but runs on windows and not linux so I will not be using it in the long term, but the 1-wire manufacturers have some tools that run on windows to test the 1-wire network and so it was easy to use that as a starting point and very easy to test each module as I build them.

Anyway now all I have to do is make the 24 other temp/solar units and test them to be able to start controling the system as each part is finished.
